There are only 2 sure things in life - death and taxes

...well, not exactly in Indonesia. Death is out of the question of course, but tax is debatable. With the system we have now, if you could avoid it some 70% of the population would say “why report??” Those who encourage are the ones who work for the tax directorate, and all govt officials, as that's where their pay check comes from. Perhaps part of the job description is to promote and scare people off of the sanction of not paying taxes, or got caught in most cases.

When you’re an employee in an established company you can be relieved from all the hassle and headache of reporting, let HR and/or accounting department do it for you, but when you’re independent, be prepared...

After much back and forth, I finally enrolled. Getting ready to learn more, aniticipating headaches and everything involved in making that decision. While people frowned at my decision, I can't expect them to understand that it was solely based on an event recorded in the bible, (Matthew 22:15-21):

Then the Pharisees went out and laid plans to trap him in his words. They sent their disciples to him along with the Herodians. "Teacher," they said, "we know you are a man of integrity and that you teach the way of God in accordance with the truth. You aren't swayed by men, because you pay no attention to who they are. Tell us then, what is your opinion? Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar or not?"

But Jesus, knowing their evil intent, said, "You hypocrites, why are you trying to trap me? Show me the coin used for paying the tax." They brought him a denarius, and he asked them, "Whose portrait is this? And whose inscription?"

"Caesar's," they replied.

Then he said to them, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's."
